CHEAT SHEET ON THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING WITH US

TL;DR

We are a small, independent brand—not Amazon, not Revolve, and definitely not a fulfillment robot. Please read carefully before buying 🌷

 

🧾 RETURNS & EXCHANGES

We do not offer exchanges at the moment (we’re working on it).

We do accept returns of unworn, unwashed, undamaged items within 14 days of delivery.

However:

  • If you used a discount code, your return will be processed as store credit only.

  • Sale items, underwear, swimwear, socks, face masks, hats, accessories = final sale.

  • Items showing any wear (makeup, deodorant, perfume, etc.) won’t be accepted.

Restocking Fee (5%) covers inspection, re-packaging, and re-shelving required by our third-party warehouse.


Refunds are issued after the item arrives and passes inspection. Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Refunds to the original payment method incur the return-shipping and restocking fee; store-credit refunds incur fewer fees.

If your item doesn’t meet these criteria, we’ll hold it for you to reclaim at your expense.

🚚 SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

  • Free U.S. shipping for orders $300 and up.

  • Processing time: 3–7 business days (Mon–Fri only; we rest on weekends & holidays).

  • Once shipped, you’ll get a tracking email.

⚖️ Legal note on risk of loss (UCC § 2-509)

Under the Uniform Commercial Code § 2-509(1)(a), when a seller’s obligation is simply to ship goods (a “shipment contract”), risk of loss passes to you—the buyer—once we hand the goods to the carrier.

That means:

📦 After your order leaves our fulfillment center and the carrier scans it in, the package is legally in your possession (even if physically still traveling).

If you prefer we carry the risk until delivery, ADD THE SHIPPING PROTECTION SERVICES ON CHECKOUT. If you have done so, you can file your claim here.

 

⏰ Shipment timing (FTC 16 CFR Part 435)

Per the FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 CFR § 435.2), we must have a reasonable basis to believe we can ship within the time stated—or 30 days if none is stated. If there’s a delay, we’ll notify you with the new expected date and your right to cancel for a full refund.

 

🕵️ MISSING OR STOLEN PACKAGES

  • Once the carrier marks an item “Delivered,” our delivery obligation is complete (UCC § 2-509 & § 2-510).

  • If your package shows as delivered but you can’t find it, please contact the carrier directly to file a claim. We’ll provide any shipment proof they require.

  • We can’t refund or replace orders after the carrier confirms delivery to the address provided.

If a package is returned to us as undeliverable (wrong address, unclaimed, etc.), you’re responsible for re-shipping costs.

 

 

💸 PRICE MATCHING

We’ll honor a lower price within 7 days of purchase if:

  • The identical item (style, size, color) is in stock and sold at full price on sundae.school or an authorized retailer.

  • You provide proof (screenshot or link) of the active lower price.

🚫 Not Eligible

We can’t price match:

  • Flash sales, discount codes, or promotional events (e.g. Black Friday, Cyber Monday).

  • Items from unauthorized resellers or marketplaces.

  • Orders using a promo/ discount code, bundle, or store credit.

 

🧾 Adjustment Method

Approved adjustments are issued as store credit only (not refunds).

Under UCC § 2-209, any change to your purchase contract must be in writing—your acceptance of store credit is that written modification.

Once credit is issued, the transaction becomes final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.

 

⚖️ Legal Reference

  • UCC § 2-313: The checkout price is your express contract price; later promotions don’t change it.

  • UCC § 2-209: Any modification (like store credit) must be agreed in writing.

  • FTC Advertising Rules: Only identical, verifiable offers qualify.

 

🌏 INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

We currently don’t ship internationally.

If your order exceeds $777 USD, email [counselor@sundae.school] for case-by-case approval.

All duties, taxes, and customs fees are your responsibility per UCC § 2-509 (1)(a) and Incoterms “FOB Origin.”

We recommend forwarders like Forward2Me.
